The breakfast timing doesn't match well with early risers, especially with nearby events attracting large crowds. a self-service option would have helped. I encountered a few cleanliness issues in my room, like an unkempt carpet, and the outbuilding access had a big step that made coming and going a bit of a hassle. the pub's bike shed felt insecure, raising concerns for cyclists looking to lock up their rides safely.

I really loved the cozy atmosphere, especially while enjoying a delicious English breakfast by the fireplace and relaxing in the garden area with beautiful flowers. The room was clean and comfortable, though I would have preferred a double bed instead of two singles. If you're looking for a super friendly place with great food, you definitely won't be disappointed! 😊

Solo traveler’s chill spot

The room was lovely and clean, came with an impressive hospitality tray filled with quality biscuits and a cafetiere for excellent coffee, just what I needed after a long day. The breakfast was incredibly good too, made from fresh local produce, really hit the spot and set me up for the day ahead.

It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but you get what you pay for, and it’s acceptable.

The room was adequately comfortable, while dinner and breakfast provided proper home-cooked meals that were both fresh and delicious. A minor wait for dinner was worth it for the quality of the food, though breakfast presentation felt overly elaborate at times.

I had a delightful stay here! The trio roast was a standout dish, generously portioned and absolutely delicious. I loved the cozy ambiance and the mini desserts after lunch are such a treat!

Ask for extra pillows upon arrival for a more comfortable night's sleep, as the bedding may lack sufficient support.

The Jolly Drover serves up some top-notch local meats, and the breakfast is a full English delight! The bar pours a mean pint of Doom Bar, which is always on point. Plus, that coffee in the room? Brewed to perfection!

The heating could've been sorted before my arrival, and the emergency lighting was way too bright for my liking. Not huge issues, but some tweaks would make it shine even more!

Loved the spacious double room with a huge shower and good heating. The hospitality tray had amazing coffee and quality biscuits. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order with local ingredients and the bar served great local ales. The staff were super friendly and handled everything quickly. Plenty of parking available too.

This place suits me perfectly. Free Wi-Fi, free parking, a cozy bar, and a lovely restaurant make it ideal. The staff even assisted me with shopping tips on my first stay. I’m returning for Easter!
